The disoriented project was created to be integrated into a hypothetical Indie game . This was yet another assignment in my first year at access Creative College. I received a brief from one of my classmates. The aim was to create a character and a world in which they would live in within a PEGI 16 game. I took inspiration from Monument Valley and Steven Universe , creating a character which would go on a journey to find the pieces of their outer shell. They are made of crystals which allow them to transfigure into certain animals. `At the end of the gameplay the protagonist realises their true form is within these shells.
The game focuses on visual storytelling as so I explicitly tried to create beautiful scenic locations to where the players would travel to and experience.The name Disoriented stems from the confusion of which the character feels about their true self.
